Education: B.Sc., 1974 (University of Barcelona); Ph.D., 1981 (Prof. Carles Simó, Autonomous University of Barcelona. Appointments: Assistant Professor at the University of Barcelona (UB), 1974-77. Associate Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), 1977-82. Professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalunya (1982-88) and Full Professor at the UB since 1988. Office charges at the UB: Vice-dean of the Faculty of Mathematics (1998-200). Head of department of Applied Mathematics and Analysis (1994-1997 and 2004-2008). Vice-president of the Sociedad Española de Matemática Aplicada (1990-1992). Member of the Astrodynamics Committee of the International Astronautical Federation since 2006. Main fields of research and artistic creation: Celestial mechanics, astrodynamics, spacecraft mission design, libration point orbits, transfer orbits, station keeping, formation flying.
