Biographical note: Professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in the Department of Signal Theory and Communication since 2006 and has been a member of the ETSETB (Telecom Barcelona) board of directors since 2000-03 and Vice-rector for Research at the UPC (2010-14 ). She created the UPC Doctoral School (2011). Currently, she is the Director of the Center Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya. Her research focuses on signal processing for communications, with a focus on satellite communications. He has more than 60 journal articles and 300 conference articles. She is the co-author of 7 books. He has led more than 20 projects and has 8 patents. She has been an associate editor for various magazines. From 2016 to 2018, she was elected IEEE SPS Regional Director General. She is a member of the BoG of the IEEE SPS and vice president of conferences (2021-23). She is an IEEE Fellow. She received the EURASIP 2018 Award and has been the general president of various international conferences. In 2021, she was awarded the ICREA Academia distinction by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
