Excma. Sra. M. Rosa Palacín i Peiró
Biographical note: Graduated and PhD in Chemical Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, she is a Research Professor at the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (CSIC), on which she was also appointed as deputy director. Her scientific activity has focused on the study of materials for rechargeable batteries, covering both commercial technologies (Ni, Li ion) and new concepts (Na, Mg, Ca ion). She has led several national and international research projects with public or private funding, has published more than 160 articles and is co-inventor in eleven patents. She was an associate editor of the journal Chemistry of Materials (ACS) and co-director of the ALISTORE virtual research institute. She is a member of the Institut d’Estudis Catalans and Académica correspondiente de la Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales. In 2021 she was elected a Fellow of the Electrochemical Society and received the Research Award from the International Battery Association. In 2023 he received the Miguel Catalan-Paul Sabatier Prize from the French Chemical Society.
