Library and Archive

The Library, with more than a hundred thousand volumes, is one of the most important in the State in the second half of the 18th century. Access is particularly intended for scholars of the history of science and technology. Its catalog is computerized and integrated into the collective catalog of the CBUC.

The Archive and Library of the Academy comprise a documentary fund of almost three centuries, of great historical value.

The Library is complemented by the Historical Archive of the Institution, which contains the act books, the administrative documentation from the foundation of the Experimental Physico-Mathematical Conference, the original manuscripts of scientific communications from the 18th and 19th centuries presented to the Corporation by its numerical members, projects, correspondence, plans and other documents.
